CHARLIE + SCOTT

THE WEDDING OF

1 8 - 0 8- 1 8

WE ARE ON A ROLL!

It was love at first sight - He looked across the room and she was there, all of his dreams had come true and all of her fantasies were alive . . .

No, nope, not really!   It was no great romantic love story how we got together, she swiped right and he swiped right and we were a match on Tinder!

After a few messages and calls we decided to meet although this almost did not happen.

Scott had been on a "work trip" to Prague for three days and got back that morning and Charlie has been out all day (having a few cheeky wines) we both nearly called it off, but we both forced ourselves to go and meet each other.

On our first date Charlie thought that Scott smelt like piss (because he was away all weekend on the beer) and she did not realise that they were sat right next to the toilets!

After that smelly old first Sunday night out we met again, continued to date and got engaged on December 6, 2016 - one year after our first date!

THE WEDDING

WHERE? WHEN? WHAT TIME?

On Saturday, 18 August 2018 at 15:00 we are getting married in Hackney London.

We are having a very informal wedding (mainly adults only) and want you all to relax and enjoy the day with us...

The wedding ceremony will take place at Hackney Town Hall and we have been told that all bums need to be on seats by 14:45!

There is a pub across the road from the Town Hall where you can have a beer or three to pass the time.

For those of you with children, well they are like farts - you only really like the smell of your own.

We hope you understand that we do not want your little cherubs stinking up our wedding

So book a sitter, dust off those dancing shoes and come party with us!

M.O.T.H. CLUB RECEPTION

WELCOME TO WEDDING-MANIA

After the Wedding ceremony and the pictures have been taken we are heading to the General Browning M.O.T.H. Club (Men Of Tin Hats) it is just a five minute walk from Hackney Town Hall and this is where the reception party is being held.

The M.O.T.H. Club is still an active service mens club and veterans still hold weekly meetings there dating back from after the end of the Second World War.

After the speeches and the meal is over, we will have DJ Sue spinning on the wheels of steel until late in the evening -send us your requests!

Food we are keeping simple.  So, unless there is something wrong with you, like being a vegetarian or a vegan you will get some sort of meat dish.  (If you are one of those weirdos who does not eat meat please let us know when RSVP'ing).

All we really want is for you all to have a great time with us and enjoy yourselves.

TRAVEL & SLEEPING

SOME HANDY LINKS TO USE

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get to us on our big day.

We appreciate the fact that so many friends and family are travelling to London form all over the country to join us for our wedding celebration.   We have added some links to useful websites for hotels, travel and using London transport when you get to the capital.

If travelling by train, book the tickets as soon as possible, they will be cheaper that way.  We would also strongly advise the same when booking hotels etc, the sooner you do it the cheaper it should be.

Depending on where you are staying in London getting around is easy, you can either buy an Oyster card or use your contactless bank cards if using any TFL service.

Just click on the link and it will take you directly to the website that can help you the best.

There are other websites you can use too.
